- This poster focuses on a qualitative research study that MSU's National Collaborative for the Study of University Engagement has been conducting since 2004. The study seeks to understand faculty perceptions of their engagement work and how these perceptions align with the university's definition in light of institutional changes aimed at promoting and fostering engagement as scholarship. The poster describes the study's research design and provides selected preliminary findings.

The presentation demonstrates the multiple ways that OEMI data can be used, including using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to map the distribution of outreach programs in specific areas of concern within Michigan.

- This presentation applies a developmental science approach as a conceptual framework for facilitating and guiding partnerships between the university and the community.
